OK, breathe! You got this, I promise. I’m going to guide you through the whole thing, posing, facial expressions, the whole shebang.
First things first, hair and makeup. The studio lights will take off about 15% of makeup in photos, so it’s highly suggested that you go heavier with your makeup. False eyelashes are a perfect touch that exaggerate the eye shape. If you are more of a natural girl then maybe your favorite tinted moisturizer and lip gloss. Boudoir hair is best when it is worn down because you’ll be tossing it around and laying down.
Beware of trying a new haircut or color right before your shoot, just in case you don’t like the new style.
Spray tans are fine but please have them done AT LEAST 48 hours before your photoshoot to avoid messy feet and hands and the color rubbing off on sheets and furniture.
Manicure and pedicure (yes ladies, the camera will see those toes!) Whatever style makes you feel most like you, natural, acrylic, or a cute set of press on nails.
STRETCH. You will thank yourself afterward. The photoshoot posing can be intense sometimes with holding positions and movements. You might work up a sweat (totally worth all the work!).
Feel free to show me your Pinterest board or saved boudoir images that you love. It will help me see what style you most like or what kind of feeling you are trying to achieve.
Have your outfits picked out and packed, don’t worry if you can’t decided between a few choices, we can look at them before the photo session begins and see which will suit you better.
Relax, eat a good breakfast, and remind yourself how absolutely bad ass you are!

Your boudoir session will generally be 120 minutes long with up to 4 outfit changes. This will give us plenty of time for posing, changing, makeup and hair retouches, lots of laughing and maybe a little dancing. If you choose to add Fine Art Nude, this will add another 45 minutes for that portion of the photoshoot. I also allot an hour before your session begins if you would prefer to have your makeup artist/hair stylist get you ready in the studio.
I know it feels like a friend will make you less anxious and help hype you up but usually it makes you more nervous to have a friend present. I prefer you to not bring anyone except your makeup artist/hair stylist.

The image reveal session where you will see your gallery and order images and products will be held in-house at Studio Lovesick or through an online viewing session for those of you who are traveling to Dallas.
I understand how sensitive and personal a boudoir session is and ensure that your photos will never be publicized in any manner unless you give written consent. I am the only person who will see and edit your images.

You will bring your own lingerie and outfits to the photoshoot as well as personal props. I want your session to reflect your style and who you are! I would love to help you on your outfit choices before you begin your shopping or if you have questions about what would photograph well, how to accessorize, and what props would be meaningful for you.
I do have goodies that you can use for your photoshoot. Pearls, fur coats, lollipops, cigars, sheets and blankets, wine glasses, flowers, and lots of other fun props! We can definitely find the right items for your style.

Your imagination is the limit! First, think about why you are doing a boudoir shoot. Are you doing it for yourself? Your birthday? To create sensual art for your walls? Surprise for your fiancé or partner? Is it a wedding gift? Anniversary?
I will have music playing but you are welcome to bring your own playlist/speaker. I will also have beverages and light snacks for you but you can also bring your favorites. I allow alcohol but not more than 2 drinks during your session (trust me on this one, the eyes start getting crazy).
Bring those sexy heels and boots! Not a shoe person? You can bring stockings, cute socks, or go barefoot. You can bring your favorite jewelry and accessories, like glasses, hair clips or different wigs.
Maybe you or your partner is really into sports, golf clubs, baseball bats, basketballs, softballs, sports jerseys.
Into fitness and/or cross training, bring your sexy sporty outfit and equipment.
Board games or books your thing? Bring your bag of dice, that special Harry Potter wand and robe or your Star Wars light saber.
Big cosplayer? I get so excited seeing those outfits and props that take so much time and love to make. From anime, to horror fans, to Disney, you can be whoever your heart desires!
More on the wild side? Pack those fuzzy handcuffs and whips!
Are you really into whiskey or wine? Snag up your best bottle as a prop.
Maybe you’re making a special calendar and want to do holiday themes.
Other nice touches can be real or fake flowers, robes, your partners button up shirt or band t-shirt, musical instruments, national flag or flag of interest.
Still not sure what to bring? Contact me to discuss all your interests and we can plan the perfectly tailored photoshoot for you.
